Jeffery Joyner is President and Founder of the management consulting agency J. Joyner Group. He supports TABS Group as Senior Executive / Partner as well as the Chief Executive Officer of the J. Joyner Group, LLC (www.jjoynergroup.com). Having been associated with TABS Group since 2005, Jeff assists with Sales, Marketing, Strategy and Collaborative Relationships. Because of his impeccable reputation for honesty, hard work and innovation, Jeff’s “contacts” in our industry include the who’s who of executives.
Jeff’s experience includes a 25+ year career in all facets of our industry. He has held positions in Wholesale, Retail, Mass, Food, Drug and Trade Associations. Upon completing his formal education at East Carolina University, Jeff began a retail career in the Mass sector. His first assignment was with Roses Stores, Inc. as Corporate Buyer. Later he was recruited to The Jack Eckerd Corporation where he rose to the rank of Vice President of Merchandise. After 17 years with Eckerd, he gained valuable experience in the Food and Wholesale segments. Jeff served as Vice President of Procurement for the largest Food Wholesaler in the United States. Throughout his career, Jeff and his teams have controlled the P&L in such broad categories as HBC, Cosmetics, Food, Confectionery, General Merchandise, Store Brands, OTC Drugs, Vitamins, Beverages, and more. Mr. Joyner's extensive retail experience provides valuable insights into ensuring that all TABS Group service offerings are aligned with the evolving and complex needs of retailers as well as manufacturers.
Jeff’s next experience came as President and Chief Operating Officer at ECRM. That business is an innovative trade organization promoting relationships and advancing leading edge buyer/seller techniques. Currently Jeff owns a private practice called The J. Joyner Group based in Dallas Texas. In this business, Jeff and his team serve CPG manufacturers and retailers in a variety of initiatives. Having gained a wealth of experience and forged hundreds of collaborative relationships, The J. Jeff is widely known as a passionate leader who believes in giving back to the world. He is an active speaker and passionate educator on subjects where he has great interest. He is active in several Charitable and Philanthropic efforts all of which make life better for others.
Jeff is an avid “teaching pro” level tennis and enjoys helping others learn that sport. Additionally, Jeff and his wife Lane’ are involved with assisting needy children. They seek opportunities to help underserved children “IMAGINE” the possibilities that their futures might hold. Jeff and his family reside in Dallas Texas.
