Dr. Kurt Jetta, Founder and President

Dr. Kurt Jetta founded TABS Group in 1998 to provide quality service to clients in the Consumer products industry through innovative analytical methods. Since its inception, the company has grown revenue by 40% per year, as an increasing number of companies embrace the analytical innovations invented by Dr. Jetta. Some of his more noteworthy contributions to the industry are his development of new performance measures like Sales Productivity, Organic Growth, Innovation Indices and Buyer Conversion Efficiency. He is the inventor of TABS Group software tools: QuickTABS, TABS AisleMaster and TABS PanelMaster™. His latest analytical innovation is Total Store Analytics (TSA). It is the first service in the industry to integrate all chain-wide POS data across the store to give instantaneous access to performance metrics. Additionally, it incorporates multiple data sources – loyalty card, consumer panel, POS, consumer research – into one service offering to optimize retail space allocation and aisle location decisions.

Prior to starting TABS Group, Kurt was Chief Executive Officer of Binky-Griptight, Inc., a supplier of baby feeding products and pacifiers. In that capacity, Dr. Jetta was able to grow revenue by 75% within 18 months and narrow operating loss by 50%. Based on the growth generated in the Binky brand, the company was sold to his former employer Playtex Products. At Playtex, Kurt worked in both Sales and Marketing positions with last job as Director, Trade Marketing for all brands. Dr. Jetta recently completed his Ph. D. in Economics from Fordham University. He specialized in Consumer Demand Theory, and the Title of his Doctoral Thesis is, “A Theory of Retailer Price Promotion Using Microeconomic Foundations: It's All Incremental.” Click here to read the dissertation abstract. He has an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University (’86) and a B.S. in Statistics from North Carolina State University (’83).
