John Leahy joins the TABS Group
Shelton, CT (October 21, 2009) – The TABS Group announces today that John Leahy has joined their team as an Executive Advisor. John is an accomplished A-Level Executive. He brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and relationships to the Tabs Group from both a US and global standpoint. John has a stellar reputation for building businesses, developing successful new products, and growing brand market shares. He has done business in over 80 countries worldwide.

John Leahy’s experience encompasses 30+ years in Consumer Products. He has managed brands in food, drug, mass, club, convenience, military, healthfood, foodservice, specialty, and college book stores. John knows how to safeguard corporate interests and integrity. Having completed numerous acquisitions, he has served as the ”face of the company” before Wall Street, Board of Directors, key stake holders, retailers ,and suppliers. John has an impressive history for maximizing efficiency and sales productivity, restructuring, and continually improving cross functional organizations. Through company affiliations, has had active roles in GMA, NACDS, ECRM, ASMC, FMI, SIFE and many other professional organizations.
Currently, John is also serving as a consultant for the Gerson Lehrman Group and the Coleman Research Group. Prior to this, John was President on NBTY’s US Nutrition Wholesale Division and NBTY’s International business. Before NBTY, John spent 23 years with Playtex Products Inc. At Playtex, he held every position in sales and marketing going from a District Sales Manager in 1982 to a President’s position in 2003.
John holds a BS degree from Villanova University and resides in Huntington, CT with his wife and 3 children.
